Indeed, the weather was great. I really love this place. I spent an hour there on a bicycle tour with a friend who knew this lake and took me there for a break. After a while, wind came up and destroyed the reflections. It was really a lucke moment.
Yesterday I experienced such a situation myself, where at first the wind destroyed the entire picture. Moments later I was able to capture somewhat of a reflection. 2 hours later, the weather got more cloudy but I was able to capture an image with a lake that reflected like a mirror.
Landscape photography is much like gambling sometimes since you'll never know what will occur when, espescially in the alps!
